wezterm

(As experienced on GNOME (on Fedora))

Liked the more compact tab bar, nerd sniped by the command console and configuration autoreload, stayed for all the features and keyboard shortcuts that grew on me.

Cheatsheet:

Fullscreen = ALT + ENTER
Go to tab = CTRL + SHIFT + n
Open console: CTLR + SHIFT + l
wezterm cli ...

Loves:

CTLR + SHIFT + l. It’s just not fair to nerd-snipe someone like that.
wezterm cli split-pane and then you can drag the split with mouse
wezterm imgcat

Likes:

There is no title bar, just a tab bar
Configurable with Lua

Dislikes:

GNOME short cuts clash with wezterm defaults
- F11 for fullscreen does not work
wezterm defaults are annoying
- MODE + C = copy. On Linux? really?

GNOME Terminal

I’ve used this for many years, for as long as I’ve had Linux running on personal and lab machines. It comes (came) default with GNOME and I used it whenever I had GNOME. It was just fine. It had profiles, adjusted to the system theme and a GUI to adjust all the colors.

I didn’t stop using it for any reason other than I found wezterm.

Konsole

I used it while I was using KDE a long, long time ago. My recollection was that it was just fine, like GNOME terminal.
